It’s no secret that I have a big passion for gardens, gardening and floral design, so when landscape designer Elizabeth Tyler got in touch to enquire about wedding photography for the relaxed wedding in Wiltshire she and her fiancé George were planning, I was on board the moment she spoke the two magical words: ‘wildflower meadow’.
My favourite weddings are the ones that don’t follow convention, are considered in every detail without being fussy, and – most importantly – are deeply personal to the couple. Lizzie and George designed their special day (and it was really very special) around the things that are most important to them: family, friends, great food, sustainability, and fun for everyone. As a location for their relaxed do they chose a friend’s estate in the lush Woodford Valley in Wilshire, whose gardens George, who is an agroecologist, had helped restore to all its wild and wonderful glory. Oh, and glorious it was!
