A modern, fun, urban wedding at two of my favourite London wedding venues – St. Leonard’s Church and Shoreditch Studios. Actually, make that three, because Devon got ready at the stylish One Hundred Shoreditch Hotel and so I finally had the opportunity to clap eyes on the excellent chipboard ceilings and fashionable interiors of this East London hotspot. After a pitch perfect wedding ceremony at Shoreditch church and a fabulous confetti throw we wandered over to Shoreditch Studios where a relaxed drinks reception segued seamlessly into an equally relaxed family-style dinner, followed by an epic party with free flowing cocktails and an abundance of excellent dance moves.

Although I am a proper country bumpkin these days I will always love photographing a London wedding, especially when it is as easygoing and beautiful as Devon and Ali’s. How does the old saying go? You can take the wedding photographer out of the city, etc. etc. … Little known fact: I too got married near Columbia Road not too long ago and ever since then this area has been one of my favourite spots for wedding photography in Shoreditch, the mix of grit and swagger is absolutely perfect and one does not have to find ‘the’ perfect location for couple photos because a relaxed stroll around the backstreets will more than suffice. So, if you want to make this girl happy, invite all your lovely friends to East London, get beautiful flowers delivered, delicious food, and cocktails on tap, then party like it’s 1999 and have me do the photography. I promise we’ll have a ball!
