Oh what a dreamy wedding this was! Laura and George have taste, style and between them about a ton of creative talent. They are also very lovely people and their wedding at Hauser and Wirth in Bruton, Somerset was a perfect (almost) end to my wedding season.
Laura got ready at Durslade Farmhouse, which is part of the Hauser and Wirth estate and is the most incredible place. Every room is different and of course chock full of artwork and vintage furniture and I so covet the farmhouse kitchen and the bare plaster walls, all of which provided the perfect backdrop for a ton of creative detail shots of Laura’s vintage-style handmade wedding dress and the beautiful flowers by Bramble&Wild. I love it when I’m spoilt for choice in which room to hang the dress! But I digress…
Their ceremony and drinks reception was held at Rook Lane Chapel in Frome, followed by a relaxed afternoon in the gardens at Hauser & Wirth. The plywood benches at the chapel – which are now for hire! – came courtesy of George and Laura’s own design company, wearebarebones, as did all the other lovely bits and bobs that made their wedding so stylish and understatedly cool.
