I'm a fine art documentary wedding photographer. And yes, I know, as far as job descriptions go that's quite a mouthful. Originally from Austria I moved to England for love (and for the weather…errrrrrm, just kidding!) and now live in Northumberland in a little cottage in the middle of a big old forest together with my photographer husband and a demanding cat named Popsicle.
I started my photographic career shooting punk rock gigs on weekends as a means to relax after a busy week in the lab, and by the time I graduated from university with a PhD in Virology my mind was made up. Bye bye science, hello photography! I have been working full time as a wedding photographer since 2010 and thirteen years later still love shooting weddings just as much as I did when I first started.
It's not all brides, grooms and confetti though - when I don’t photograph weddings, I can often be found roaming other people's very nice homes and gardens taking pictures for commercial and editorial clients.
In my work as a documentary wedding photographer I combine the beautiful with the natural and mix fine art photography and unobtrusive photojournalism. Nothing in my pictures is contrived. I just capture you as you are and your wedding how it happens.
I’m based near Newcastle with a second base in London and photograph weddings, elopements and engagements all over the UK and the rest of Europe. I love to travel and explore new places, so no matter where you are planning to have your wedding, I'd be thrilled to be there and document the day for you.
